These terms and conditions replace a rental agreement.
2. Minimum Age and Driver’s License

The renter must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.

The driver’s license must remain valid for the entire rental period. An international driver’s license is recommended but not mandatory.
3. Booking and Rental Period

Vehicle bookings can be made online, by phone, or by message.

The rental period begins at the agreed time of vehicle handover and ends at the agreed time of return.

Late returns may result in additional charges.
4. Security Deposit

A security deposit of 400 USD is required for each vehicle.

The deposit serves as a safeguard in case of:

  • Damage to the vehicle
  • Traffic violations
  • Missing fuel
  • Excessive interior dirt or unusual cleaning requirements

The deposit will be refunded after the vehicle is returned properly.
5. Insurance

All vehicles are equipped with basic insurance.

This covers damages in accordance with the applicable insurance terms and conditions.

In the case of self-inflicted damage, a deductible may apply.
6. Use of the Vehicle

The renter agrees to:

  • Use the vehicle responsibly
  • Comply with all traffic regulations
  • Not drive the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Not use the vehicle for illegal purposes
  • The vehicles may only be driven on paved roads.

The vehicle may be driven by other accompanying passengers.
7. Fuel

The vehicle is handed over with a full tank and must also be returned with a full tank.

If fuel is missing upon return, additional charges may apply.
8. Smoking and Cleaning

All vehicles are non-smoking vehicles.

In case of significant interior dirt or contamination, a cleaning fee of at least 500 MXN may be charged.
9. Delivery and Pickup

Vehicle delivery to Cancún Airport or Tulum is available for a fee of 1000 MXN.

Deliveries to other locations may be arranged upon prior agreement.
10. Damage or Accidents

In the event of an accident or damage to the vehicle, the renter must:

  • Remain calm and secure the situation
  • Contact Car2Go Mexico immediately
  • Inform the local authorities if required

The renter is liable for damages caused by improper use or negligence.
11. Traffic Violations

The renter is fully responsible for alltraffic violations, fines, or penaltiesincurred during the rental period.
12. Liability

Car2Go Mexico is not liable for personal belongings that are forgotten or left inside the vehicle.
13. Cancellations

Cancellations should be communicated as early as possible.

Short-notice cancellations may result in additional charges.
14. Jurisdiction

The law of theUnited Mexican Statesshall apply.
15. Final Provisions

If individual provisions of these Terms and Conditions are or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
